TERMS OF SERVICE

At Superb Maids, we take pride in our work and are eager to assist our customers with various cleaning needs. However, to maintain a high standard of quality, there are certain limitations and terms of service that you should be aware of:

  1. Cancellation and Termination: We reserve the right to cancel any service, for any reason. Any form of racism, sexism, or disrespect towards our staff will result in immediate and permanent termination of our service.

  2. Health and Safety: The well-being of our staff is of utmost importance. Our staff members are not allowed to perform tasks that may jeopardize their health or safety. This includes climbing heights beyond what's reachable with a three-step ladder, moving or lifting heavy furniture requiring assistance, cleaning biohazard substances (such as animal or human waste), cleaning areas infested with insects, or cleaning areas with mold.

  3. Pets: While we are mindful and careful around pets, we do not assume liability for the health and safety of your pets. You are responsible for ensuring your pets' safety and well-being during our service.

  4. Damage and breakage: Our maids exercise reasonable care when cleaning. We carry insurance to cover damage or breakage caused by our maids. However, we are not liable for damage resulting from "normal wear and tear," improper installation of an item(s), or artwork, collectibles, or family heirlooms valued over $200 that were not disclosed at the time of making the appointment. If any damage or suspected damage is noticed after our maids have left, you must notify Superb Maids within 24 hours of any issues that may have occurred at the address during the scheduled cleaning. We will do our best to address the problem and find a reasonable solution. Examples of such items include but are not limited to:

    • Carpet & Rug Snags: Carpet snags occur due to exposed loops resulting from normal wear and tear, moving furniture, and other factors that may be snagged by a vacuum's roller brush. We use Panasonic and Shark vacuums set to industry standards, which cannot be adjusted. We will make an effort to avoid problematic areas of carpeting/rugs to limit snags or fraying.

    • Broken Blinds: Customers should be aware that cleaning blinds carries inherent risks. Blinds can become brittle from daily sun exposure and aging, and strings/chords may weaken over time, leading to breakage.

    • Improperly Hung Items: Pictures, decorations, mirrors, and similar items should not fall when they are dusted or wiped if they are securely and properly attached to the wall.

    • Artwork, Collectibles, or Family Heirlooms Valued over $200: These items are often expensive or irreplaceable. In such cases, we do not assume the risk of cleaning such items. It is your responsibility to inform us in writing of any item(s) falling into this category.

    • Woodwork, Vintage/Antique Wood Furniture, Unfinished Wood, and Furniture with Special Instructions: Please inform us during your booking if your woodwork, wooden furniture, or vintage wooden furniture is not sealed or is made of materials other than actual wood. Discuss any special care needs for your furniture with specific instructions as needed. If you would like to provide your own cleaning product(s) for specific pieces of furniture, leather furniture, pianos, etc., please notify us via email or mail of the preferred product(s) you will supply.

  5. Utility Requirements: To perform our cleaning services effectively, we require access to electricity and water. If your utilities are turned off, we will be unable to provide our service, and we will gladly reschedule for a time when utilities are restored.

  6. Challenging Cleaning Jobs: In cases where a home is in poor condition, with broken glass, excessive clutter, or resembles a "hoarder's living space," we can work to bring it to a livable and habitable standard. However, the end result may not be comparable to the level of cleanliness achieved in a standard home. We will discuss such challenges before starting the job and upon arrival onsite. We may also photograph before and after for potential sharing within our company for strategizing. We may use these photos on our social media without sharing any of your identifiable information.

  7. Cancellation/Rescheduling Fee: We understand that plans can change, but last-minute cancellations or rescheduling can be disruptive and result in losses for our company and staff. Therefore, we have a 48-hour $100 cancellation/rescheduling fee. We may waive this fee if we can replace the appointment with another booking or in the case of a valid reason for cancellation.

  8. Staff Solicitation: You agree not to solicit for hire any staff member introduced to you by Superb Maids for any home-related services. Our staff undergo a rigorous selection process, and when hired, they sign an agreement barring them from performing any home-related service for our customers. If you wish to employ a staff member directly, please discuss this matter with the owner. If you are found to have solicited one of our staff members, our referral/training fee is $5,000 per hired employee.

  9. Indemnification: You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless Superb Maids and its subsidiaries, agents, licensors, managers, and other affiliated companies, as well as their employees, owners, contractors, agents, officers, and directors, from and against any and all claims, damages, obligations, losses, liabilities, costs, or debt, including attorney’s fees, arising from your use of our cleaning services or any alleged or actual loss or damage to property resulting from our cleaning services.

  10. Disclaimer of Warranties: Our cleaning services are provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. We do not make any warranties, express or implied, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, workmanlike quality, or non-infringement. We do not warrant that our service is accurate, reliable, or error-free. Use of our service is at your own risk.
